Zhou Guanyu on trying to salvage his F1 career, Sauber's 2024 struggles - and why losing his seat WOULDN'T be the end of the world

Zhou Guanyu is currently in his second season of Formula 1 with Alfa Romeo. He scored points in his debut race in Bahrain but has struggled for consistency since then.

The Chinese driver has been linked with a move to Williams for 2024, but he insists that he is focused on staying with Alfa Romeo and proving his worth.

"I think I've shown that I have the potential to be a good driver in Formula 1," Zhou said. "I just need to put it all together and show it consistently."

Alfa Romeo has struggled for form in 2023, and Zhou admits that it has been a frustrating season.

"It's been a tough year for the team," he said. "We haven't been able to develop the car as quickly as we would have liked."

"But I'm confident that we can turn things around in 2024. We have a good group of people here, and I believe in the team."

Zhou is also aware that he needs to improve his own performance if he wants to stay in Formula 1.

"I need to be more consistent," he said. "I need to make fewer mistakes and I need to score more points."

"I know that I can do it. I just need to keep working hard and keep believing in myself."

Zhou Guanyu is a talented driver with a bright future in Formula 1. If he can find consistency and improve his performance, he has the potential to be a race winner.

But even if he does lose his seat at Alfa Romeo, it wouldn't be the end of the world. He is still young and has plenty of time to prove his worth.

Zhou is a valuable asset to any team, and he is sure to find a seat somewhere on the grid in 2024.
